I’m so excited to invite you into my very first book club based on my upcoming book, Heal What Hurts: How to Heal Emotional Triggers. This is a live, small-group journey on Zoom where we’ll walk together through the core teachings, practices, and healing process laid out in the book.
I’ve divided the book club into two parts: Book Club 1 and Book Club 2 so you can either begin with the foundational work or commit to the full 10-week healing journey. This isn’t just a discussion group. It’s a guided, embodied circle of practice and transformation, rooted in presence, prayer, and the healing power of community.
We begin on Saturday, September 27. I would love to have you with me.
Book Club 1: The Foundation
5 Weeks | September 27 – October 25, 2025
In Book Club 1, we’ll begin with the foundational work: breath awareness, body awareness, and the first steps toward softening emotional reactivity. You’ll learn how triggers live in the body, how to work with the “three outs” (lashing out, numbing out, and checking out), and how to begin shifting from shame to compassion.
Weekly Themes
Week 1 — September 27: Breath Awareness
Reconnect with your breath as the doorway to Spirit, presence, and regulation.
Week 2 — October 4: Body Awareness
Explore how pain lives in the body—and begin reclaiming your body as sacred.
Week 3 — October 11: Skillful Coping
Notice your habitual “outs” and begin shifting into loving self-awareness instead.
Week 4 — October 18: Locating the Trigger Knots
Learn to identify the exact places in your body where emotional pain lives—and how to meet them with presence.
Week 5 — October 25: Trigger Inquiry
Begin uncovering the old beliefs, patterns, and scripts that drive your reactions—and start softening their grip.
Book Club 2: The Deepening
5 Weeks | November 1 – December 6, 2025
No class Thanksgiving weekend (November 29)
In Book Club 2, we go deeper—into the origins of our pain, the power of forgiveness, and the transformation of relationships. We’ll end with a full integration circle to help you ground this work in daily life and relationships.
Weekly Themes
Week 1 — November 1: Discovering the Origin
Trace the trigger back to its root—often in childhood or early trauma—and begin the reparenting process with deep compassion.
Week 2 — November 8: Forgiveness
Explore forgiveness as an energetic release—freeing yourself from what no longer serves.
Week 3 — November 15: Relationships as Vehicles for Growth
Understand how triggers in relationship can become sacred fuel for your spiritual growth.
Week 4 — November 22: A Whole New Paradigm for Friendship
Reimagine friendship as a space of truth, presence, and mutual evolution.
Week 5 — December 7: Integration + Next Steps
We’ll close with a sacred circle to reflect, celebrate, and map out how to carry this work forward in your life.
