Heal What Hurts Retreat: Heal Your Emotional Triggers

Armonia Retreat Center | April 24-30, 2027

WITH MARIA TOSO

Emotional Freedom & Divine Embodiment

Join Maria Toso—author of Heal What Hurts: How to Heal Emotional Triggers—as we dive deep into the one-of-a-kind healing process laid out in her transformational book.

Over the past decade, Maria has guided hundreds of students to free themselves from compulsive reactivity—the unconscious patterns that keep us stuck in emotional pain, disrupt our relationships, and exhaust our bodies.

This retreat offers a sacred container to do the real inner work: to meet the contracted places inside your body with loving presence, and allow them to release back into Light.

Through the Heal What Hurts method—a gentle, Divinely assisted process—you’ll learn to:

  • Recognize your emotional triggers as doorways to freedom rather than obstacles.

  • Understand and transcend the Three Outs—the instinct to lash out, numb out, or check out.

  • Reverse those cycles and return home to the body, where true transformation occurs.

  • Dissolve the painful, repetitive patterns that have lived in your body for years.

  • Allow your Higher Self essence to fill the space that once held contraction, fear, or shame.

A 6-day journey of healing, empowerment, and deep connection with the Divine Light Within

Shedding the contracted knots inside sets you free

When we’re triggered, we tend to fall into one of what I call “the three outs”—our habitual ways of escaping discomfort:

  1. Lash out – trying to change or control the other.

  2. Numb out – using food, substances, or screens to avoid feeling.

  3. Check out – retreating into the intellect or detaching from emotion altogether.

Each “out” leads us away from ourselves. In this retreat, you’ll learn to reverse that cycle—to go inward instead of outward, to meet the contraction instead of fleeing from it. You’ll practice the real work of healing: staying present with what arises in your body until it softens and releases back into love.

Join Maria Toso, author of Heal What Hurts: How to Heal Emotional Triggers, for an intimate, 6-day immersion into her one-of-a-kind healing process.

Over four transformative days, we will move step-by-step through the Heal What Hurts process—Maria’s eight-phase method for dissolving emotional pain, clearing the body of contraction, and awakening your Divine Light. This retreat is a sacred invitation to set yourself free—to release the painful, repetitive patterns that live in your body and keep you bound to the past.

You’ll learn to reverse the cycle of the Three Outs—the instinctive ways we try to escape when we’re emotionally triggered:

  • Lashing out to change or control someone else,

  • Numbing out through food, substances, or distraction, and

  • Checking out by detaching or retreating into the mind.

Instead of turning away from discomfort, you’ll discover how to go inward with Divine loving presence, meeting what arises in your body with compassion and awareness. This is where profound healing at the root of emotional pain takes place—within the very contraction that once felt unbearable.

As the old, protective patterns release, the body unwinds naturally, and your Higher Self essence flows in to fill the space once held by fear and pain. From this state of embodied freedom, you’ll feel renewed courage, clarity, and inspiration to live your true soul mission.

The Setting

Nestled high in the hills of the timeless village of Douliana, Armonia Retreat Center is a place where the world gently loosens its grip. Surrounded by olive trees, stone paths, and wide open skies, it invites a natural slowing—an exhale you didn’t realize you were holding.

Though held in the quiet of the mountains, Armonia remains intimately connected to the sea. A refreshing 30-minute hike winds down through rolling hills and olive groves, leading to the coastal village below and onward to the ocean—cool, blue, and waiting. The walk itself becomes part of the experience: grounding, rhythmic, and quietly restorative.

Life here moves at a different pace. Light fills simple, beautiful spaces designed for ease and presence. Just beyond the doors, ancient footpaths invite wandering, reflection, and moments of deep listening.

Days unfold between mountain stillness and the gentle pull of the coast. Some beaches are lively and sunlit, others wild and untouched—each offering its own kind of remembering.

Meals are an integral part of the experience. Our cook prepares nourishing, ayurvedic-inspired food each day—fresh, organic, and homemade from scratch with care and intention. Both vegetarian and thoughtfully prepared meat options are offered, allowing each person to eat in a way that feels supportive and grounding.

Evenings bring cooler air, soft light, and a sense of being well held. Nothing heavy. Nothing rushed. Just enough.
