April 11: Community Meditation for Anxiety

from $0.00

Donation Based | Saturday, April 11 | 4:30–5:30 PM | St. Paul Yoga Center
1162 Selby Ave, St. Paul (corner of Dunlap and Selby) | Mats & Blankets at the studio

This gentle, calming gathering is designed to help calm anxiety, soothe the nervous system, and guide you back into embodied peace. Rooted in the Heal What Hurts approach, we work not by pushing through emotions or analyzing the mind, but by softening into the body and allowing healing to unfold from the inside out.

Through guided meditation, and breath-centered somatic awareness, we begin to notice where stress and emotional tension live in the body, especially around the chest, heart, and belly. Anxiety often shows up as contraction, tightening, bracing, or holding. Together we create the conditions for those patterns to gently unwind and release from the body.

As we soften physical tension, emotional space and ease naturally open in the body. From this grounded place, meditation becomes more accessible, and the body can begin to feel steady, clear, and supported.

Practical details:
Please wear comfortable clothing and bring layers, as the body temperature can shift during deep relaxation. The studio provides mats and blankets to sit on, and you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer. There will also be chairs available as well as the option to lean against the wall.
