This 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training is a live, fully online program designed for practitioners who want to deepen their relationship with yoga, embodiment, and presence; and, if they choose, step into teaching with clarity, confidence, and integrity.

Led by Maria Toso, internationally experienced yoga teacher trainer, somatic practitioner, spiritual teacher, and author of Heal What Hurts, this training weaves together classical Hatha yoga foundations with trauma-informed somatic awareness, meditation, and emotional integration.

The program unfolds over several months, allowing time for practice, reflection, and real transformation; without rushing or burnout.

Format & Schedule

The training runs from September 2026 through March 2027 and is intentionally structured to support working adults, parents, and professionals. The pace allows for depth, consistency, and integration—without requiring you to put your life on hold.

This is a live, cohort-based training with a predictable rhythm so you can plan well in advance.

Live Online Weekend Intensives

12 weekends total · Saturday & Sunday · 8:00 AM–2:30 PM Central Time

Weekend intensives are held approximately every other weekend, with a break in December to allow for rest and integration.

Daily Flow (Saturday & Sunday)

  • 8:00–11:30 AM – Asana, teaching methodology, and trauma-informed practices

  • 11:30 AM–12:30 PMLunch break (one full hour)

  • 12:30–2:30 PM – Meditation, relaxation, integration, and practice teaching

Ending at 2:30 PM CT keeps the days focused and spacious, leaving time for rest, family, and reflection.

Weekly Integration & Meditation

To support continuity and nervous-system regulation, the training includes a weekly live integration and meditation session during active training months.

  • Wednesdays, 7:30–8:30 AM Central Time

  • Live on Zoom

Wednesday Session Dates

Fall: September 9 – December 9, 2026 (approximately 13 sessions)
Winter/Spring: January 13 – March 24, 2027 (approximately 11 sessions)

These sessions focus on:

  • Guided meditation and relaxation

  • Integration of material from the weekend intensives

  • Embodiment, inquiry, and reflection

  • Ongoing nervous-system support throughout the training

Live attendance is encouraged but not required. Sessions are recorded if you are occasionally unable to attend.

Guided Practice, Mentorship & Community

Throughout the training you will receive:

  • Ongoing guidance and mentorship

  • Opportunities for questions, discussion, and feedback

  • A steady cohort experience that supports connection and accountability

Home Practice, Reflection & Assigned Viewing

In addition to live sessions, the training includes required non-contact components designed to support real integration:

  • Weekly yoga class attendance (in-person or online) with brief reflection

  • Assigned films, lectures, and educational viewing

  • Home practice, journaling, and reflection exercises

  • Occasional practice-teaching assignments

These elements support Yoga Alliance requirements while emphasizing embodiment and lived experience rather than information overload.

The online program alone completes the full 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training.
No travel is required to complete the training or receive certification.
No travel is required for certification.

Graduates are eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as RYT-200.

Optional Pathway: Heal What Hurts Retreat in Crete

Students who wish to deepen their work are invited to join an optional in-person Heal What Hurts retreat in Crete, Greece, held in the spring.

This retreat is not required for completion of the Yoga Teacher Training and is open to the general public.

For YTT students, the retreat offers:

  • In-person embodiment and integration

  • Community connection

  • A deeper immersion into the somatic and emotional healing work introduced in the training

YTT students receive priority access and a 10% tuition discount for the retreat.

Maria Toso is an internationally experienced yoga teacher trainer, somatic practitioner, and spiritual teacher with over a decade of teaching experience. She has trained yoga teachers through colleges, studios, and private programs and is the author of Heal What Hurts (Llewellyn Worldwide).
